Teach or ride at more than one stable
One account for every stable you belong to: add a second stable, switch between them, and see what's shared and what isn't.
ForInstructorsRiders
You teach at one stable and ride at another, or ride at two. You keep one Nose account, add each stable to it, and switch between them in a couple of taps.
Steps
- Ask the new stable to invite you, and give them the email you already sign in to Nose with. If the stable lets riders sign up on its own page, you can instead open the stable's link while signed in and press Join this stable.
- If you were invited, open the invitation and press Accept invitation. The stable is added to the account you already have. You don't get a second account.
- To switch on a computer, press the stable's name at the bottom of the side menu (on a narrow window it's just a building icon). The list shows each of your stables with your role there, and the one you're in is marked Current. Pick the one you want.
- To switch on a phone, tap More in the bottom bar. Your stables are at the top, under Switch stable. Tap the one you want.
- You can also switch from your account page: staff use Open next to a stable under Stable memberships, and riders tap a stable under Your stables.
What's shared and what isn't
Shared across every stable, because it belongs to you:
- your sign-in email, and the name and phone on your account
- language, and your colour & emoji
- your notification settings
Kept separately in each stable:
- your role: you can be an instructor in one and a rider in the other
- the schedule and your rides
- passes, vouchers, balance and what you owe
- what you earned for teaching
- the bell's list of notifications
If something's off
- There's no stable switcher, or the other stable isn't in it. The invitation probably went to a different email, so the stable is on a separate account. Ask the stable to invite the email you normally sign in with. If the link has expired or was already used, ask for a fresh one.
- The invitation says it was sent to a different email. The stable used an address you don't normally sign in with. Don't sign out to accept it, or you'll end up with a second account. Ask the stable to invite the email you already use.
- A pass or your balance has disappeared. It belongs to the stable that sold it, so you only see it there, and it can't be used at the other stable. Switch to that stable to see it.
- You turned off a kind of notification and it stopped coming from both stables. Notification settings are yours, not a stable's, so they apply everywhere. See Your account.
What you'll notice
- After a switch, Nose opens the right page for your role there: today's schedule with your rides if you teach, or your home page if you ride.
- Next time you open Nose on the same device, it usually goes straight back to the stable you were in last.
- Reminders and messages from both stables reach you the way your notification settings say, by push or email. The bell only lists messages from the stable you're in.
- With only one stable, the menu has no stable switcher. It appears once you join a second.
