Run today's care round
What each horse needs today, ticking it off as it's done, and keeping the board right when the plan changes.

Work through today's care for every horse on one board: see what each horse needs and when, tick off each job as it's done, and keep the board right when the plan changes during the day.
The round, step by step
- Open Care. It's in the menu, right under Horses, and opens on today. Each row is one job (a feed, a medicine, a service, a yard chore) with the horse it's for and its time of day: Morning, Midday, Evening or Night. Jobs for the yard rather than a horse sit in the Yard group.
- Pick To do to hide what's finished. By horse works horse by horse; By type puts all the feeds together for one feed run.
- When a job is done, tap the tick at the end of the row (Mark done). The row shows Done with your name and the time. Horse left half its feed? Use Check off with a note, type it and tap Done.
- If a horse is away, tap Skip on its row. The row stays, marked as skipped, so nobody thinks it was forgotten.
- Add task puts a one-off job on the day. Helpers can add yard tasks; a task for a particular horse is added by an instructor or admin.
- Switch from Tasks to Health. A number on Health tells you how many farrier, vaccination or worming visits are due. Recording them is covered in Keep farrier, vaccinations and worming on track.
When the plan changes today
Admins and instructors handle these:
- The ration changes for good. On the horse's Care tab, edit the line under Feeding and tap Save profile. Feeds still to do today and tomorrow change with it (a removed line drops off the board); feeds already ticked off keep what was fed.
- It changes for a few days only (the vet says half rations until Friday). On the horse's Care tab, tap Add line, tick Temporary change (dated), set From and Until, and under Replaces line pick the usual one. The board feeds the temporary line on those days and goes back to the usual one afterwards.
- A task landed on the wrong horse or the wrong day. On the board, use Remove task (the bin) on the row. It's there for one-off tasks someone added; for a regular feed or chore, use Skip.
If something's off
- A horse has no tasks, or the board is empty. Feeds come from each horse's feeding plan, so a horse without one has no feeds on the board. Admins and instructors get Set up feeding plans on the empty board, which walks them through the horses still missing one; helpers ask one of them.
- You ticked the wrong row. Tap the undo arrow where the tick was (Undo check-off). If it was a paid service, undoing also cancels the owner's charge, so helpers don't get that button: ask an instructor or admin.
- Yesterday's round wasn't finished. Missed feeds and recurring chores don't move to today; they come back on their next date. A one-off task or an owner's request that nobody did does move to today, marked overdue since its date.
- An owner asked for something you won't do. Rows from owners are marked From owner. Admins and instructors can turn one down with Decline request (the cross). The owner sees on their horse's page that it was declined.
What happens by itself
- Each horse's feeds appear on the board every day from its feeding plan.
- What an owner orders for their horse appears on the board on the day they asked for.
- The horse's owner sees the work done on their horse, and your note, under Care & services on their horse's page. Yard tasks stay among staff.
- When a paid service the owner ordered is ticked off, the charge goes on the owner's bill.
