Horses

The Horses page sets the barn's horse work limits: how much a horse should work, the default every horse follows, and whether going over asks first. The schedule and each horse's profile measure against it. Changes save as you make them — the page header confirms with Saved. Only admins manage this page.

Choosing the period

Under Enter limits per, pick Week or Day. A limit is kept per week either way — a daily limit counts ×7 for the week — so switching the period only changes how the number is shown, never the limit itself.

Setting the default limit

Type the hours into Default limit, then leave the field or press Enter to save. Every horse without a number of its own follows this default; give any horse that differs its own limit on its profile.

• 0 means no limit. Type it — an empty field is not saved.
• A day holds at most 24 hours and a week at most 168. A bigger number shows an error and is not saved.
• Press Esc to undo what you typed.

Warn before going over

With Warn before going over on, assigning a horse to a ride that would take it past its limit asks for confirmation first. Nothing is ever blocked.
