Teach or ride at more than one barn

You teach at one barn and ride at another, or ride at two. You keep one Nose account, add each barn to it, and switch between them in a couple of taps.

Steps

1. Ask the new barn to invite you, and give them the email you already sign in to Nose with. If the barn lets riders sign up on its own page, you can instead open the barn's link while signed in and press Join this barn.
2. If you were invited, open the invitation and press Accept invitation. The barn is added to the account you already have. You don't get a second account.
3. To switch on a computer, press the barn's name at the bottom of the side menu (on a narrow window it's just a building icon). The list shows each of your barns with your role there, and the one you're in is marked Current. Pick the one you want.
4. To switch on a phone, tap More in the bottom bar. Your barns are at the top, under Switch barn. Tap the one you want.
5. You can also switch from your account page: staff use Open next to a barn under Barn memberships, and riders tap a barn under Your barns.

What's shared and what isn't

Shared across every barn, because it belongs to you:

• your sign-in email, and the name and phone on your account
• language, and your color & emoji
• your notification settings

Kept separately in each barn:

• your role: you can be an instructor in one and a rider in the other
• the schedule and your rides
• passes, vouchers, balance and what you owe
• what you earned for teaching
• the bell's list of notifications

If something's off

• There's no barn switcher, or the other barn isn't in it. The invitation probably went to a different email, so the barn is on a separate account. Ask the barn to invite the email you normally sign in with. If the link has expired or was already used, ask for a fresh one.
• The invitation says it was sent to a different email. The barn used an address you don't normally sign in with. Don't sign out to accept it, or you'll end up with a second account. Ask the barn to invite the email you already use.
• A pass or your balance has disappeared. It belongs to the barn that sold it, so you only see it there, and it can't be used at the other barn. Switch to that barn to see it.
• You turned off a kind of notification and it stopped coming from both barns. Notification settings are yours, not a barn's, so they apply everywhere. See Your account.

What you'll notice

• After a switch, Nose opens the right page for your role there: today's schedule with your rides if you teach, or your home page if you ride.
• Next time you open Nose on the same device, it usually goes straight back to the barn you were in last.
• Reminders and messages from both barns reach you the way your notification settings say, by push or email. The bell only lists messages from the barn you're in.
• With only one barn, the menu has no barn switcher. It appears once you join a second.
