Follow your horse's care
See what the barn did for your horse today, what's planned, and which health dates and documents are coming up.
ForHorse owners
Your horse's page shows what the barn has done for your horse, what is planned for today, and which health dates and documents are coming up — so you don't have to ring the barn to find out.
Check on your horse
- Open My horses. It is in the menu, and on a phone it has its own tab in the bar at the bottom. If you have more than one horse, pick one in the switcher at the top, or stay on All horses.
- Read Care & services. Today is at the top. Work the barn has already done shows the time it was done; work still to come today is marked Planned, with the time of day. Earlier days follow below, going back about two weeks. If someone left a note when they checked a job off ("ate half his hay"), it appears under the row.
- Check what it costs. Work marked Included in board costs you nothing extra. Paid extras you're billed for show their price once they're done.
- See what's coming up. Upcoming health dues lists the next deworming, vaccination and farrier dates, and any document that is about to expire, each with its date. Anything late is marked overdue since and the date. The list only appears when something is due in the next few months.
- Keep the paperwork in one place. Under Documents you'll find your horse's passport, certificates and other papers the barn has added. Use Add document to add your own, such as a new insurance certificate.
- Need something done? Use Request a service in Care & services. Asking and paying for extras is covered in Ask for a service and pay your boarding bill.
If something's off
- The page says No boarded horses, or My horses isn't in the menu. The barn hasn't linked your account to your horse yet. Ask them to check that you're on the horse's contract.
- A row says Still awaiting. Something planned for an earlier day hasn't been done yet. That's worth a word with the barn.
- A health date is wrong or missing. The barn keeps these dates, so you can't change them here. Tell the barn when the farrier, vet or deworming last happened, and the next date will correct itself once they record it.
- No reminder emails arrive. Open My account (on a computer, click your name in the menu) and, under Notifications, check that the Horse — care & documents switch is on. For push notifications, also turn on Push notifications on each phone or computer you use.
What happens by itself
- Before deworming, a vaccination or the farrier is due, you get a reminder by email (and push, if you've allowed it), and another if the date slips past. An annual vaccination is flagged up to two months ahead. Health reminders has the full schedule.
- A month before a document expires, you get one reminder.
- When the barn records the job done, the next date in Upcoming health dues moves forward on its own.
- When the barn accepts, declines or completes something you asked for, you get a message, and the row in Care & services shows the answer.
- If you share the horse with a co-owner, everyone linked to it who has a Nose account gets the health reminders, not just the person who pays.
