Services & price list

The Services & price list page holds everything you charge for besides rides — farrier, vet visits, deworming, blanketing, supplements and the rest — each with its price and how it bills. Staff pick from this list when they add a care task, check off a health visit or log a service, so every charge carries its price. You don't need the boarding module to use it. Only admins manage this page.

Adding a service

1. Go to Settings → Services & price list.
2. Click Add service.
3. Enter a Name and, if you like, a Description — horse owners see it in the price list.
4. Under Billing, pick Per occurrence, Per day or Monthly (subscription), and set the Price.
5. Optionally pick a Care type — farrier, deworming, vaccination and so on — so health visits of that type can be priced from this service.
6. Turn on Owners can request this service if horse owners may ask for it from their portal.
7. Click Save.

Starting from scratch? Add the standard set creates the common care services in one go — feeding, deworming, vaccination, farrier, medication and blanketing — at a price of 0, so all that's left is to set your prices. Running it again only adds the ones you don't have yet.

Editing or archiving a service

• Click a service to change its name, billing, price or care type. A new price applies to work recorded from then on; work already recorded keeps the price it was recorded at.
• To retire a service, open it, click Archive and confirm. It moves to the Archived group: it is no longer offered for new work, but charges and subscriptions that already use it stay as they are.

With the boarding module

When boarding is on, two more things appear:

• Included in plans — inside a service, decide for each boarding plan whether it covers the service: unlimited, up to a monthly quota, or always billable.
• Monthly (subscription) services bill only once they are attached to contracts. Under each monthly service the list says how many contracts it is attached to — or warns Not accruing yet — with Add to contracts beside it.
